Get the very best from your treatment

Spray Tan

To get the best results from your spray tan, please follow the guidance below.
  • Allow your tan to fully develop for the recommended time.
  • Avoid water, sweating, or any activity that causes moisture on the skin.
  • Do not exercise or shower early.
  • When you rinse, wait until the water runs clear, then gently pat skin dry — do not rub.
  • Keep the skin hydrated with a light, tan-friendly or oil-free moisturiser. Avoid heavy body oils and rich oily creams, as they can make the tan fade faster.
  • Keep showers fairly quick and go easy on very hot baths, long swims and steam while you want to keep the colour.
  • Wear SPF as normal — a spray tan offers no sun protection at all.
  • Leave exfoliating until the tan begins to fade, then exfoliate gently so it comes away evenly. There is no need to start dismantling it while it still looks good.
  • Exfoliate your whole body the night before your tan, focusing on dry areas (elbows, knees, ankles, hands, feet).
  • Complete all hair removal at least 24 hours before your tan.
  • Do not apply moisturiser, perfume, or deodorant on the day of your appointment.
  • Remove contact lenses before treatment to avoid irritation.
  • Wear loose, dark clothing after your tan.
  • Avoid light colours, tight bras, jeans, socks, or closed shoes.
  • Tight clothing or rubbing can cause streaking and a patchy finish.

Nails

Gel, classic polish and pedicures each want something slightly different in the first day.
  • Avoid soaking your hands in water for long periods (e.g. swimming or hot baths).
  • Avoid direct heat such as saunas or sunbeds.
  • Gel is cured hard before I leave, so there is nothing to dry — you can use your hands straight away.
  • Unlike gel, classic polish and Infinite Shine dry in air rather than under a lamp. Give them a couple of hours before anything that presses on the nail.
  • Keep away from hot water, washing up and hand sanitiser while they harden.
  • A top coat every two or three days keeps the shine and adds days to the wear.
  • If you are going out afterwards, have open-toe shoes or sandals ready. Closed shoes and socks are where almost every smudge happens.
  • With classic polish, leave the toes uncovered for as long as you can.
  • Skip swimming pools, hot tubs and long baths for the first day.
  • Moisturise your feet daily, but keep cream away from the nail plate itself.
  • Wear gloves when washing dishes, cleaning, or gardening.
  • Be cautious with insect repellents, sun creams, or alcohol-based products, as these can break down the gel.
  • Moisturise your hands and nails daily — we love hand cream, body butter, or almond oil.
  • Use cuticle oil regularly to maintain hydration and prevent lifting.
  • Don't file or reshape your nails — this will break the gel seal and may lead to lifting.
  • Don't pick or peel your gel — this causes damage and thinning of the natural nail plate.
  • Don't use your nails as tools. Almost every break starts with a car door, a staple or a ring pull.

Proper aftercare ensures longer-lasting, healthier nails and helps protect your investment.

Elim

Elim works cumulatively. What you do between appointments matters more than what happens during one.
  • The skin has been peeled and exfoliated, so it is newly exposed and more sensitive than usual.
  • Avoid very hot baths, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools.
  • Skip any other exfoliant, scrub or acid on the same area.
  • Keep hands out of strong sun, and use sun protection on them if you are out.
  • Moisturise daily. This is where the progress is made — skin that is kept soft does not rebuild hard skin at the same rate.
  • For feet, a cream at night with socks over the top works far better than the same cream in the morning.
  • Keep going even once it looks better. The improvement holds only while the routine does.
  • Do not file, scrape or shave hard skin yourself between appointments. Removing it that way tells the skin to build it back thicker.
  • Put away pumice stones, metal files and blade-style callus removers.
  • Do not pick at loose skin, however tempting.
  • Please do not book Elim while taking Roaccutane.
  • Tell me before your next appointment if the skin broke, stayed red, or felt sore for more than a day.
  • Tell me if you have diabetes or reduced sensation in your feet, or if that changes — it changes how I work.
  • Anything that looks like an infection needs a GP or a podiatrist rather than me.

Results build over a course. One appointment softens; a course changes the condition.

LVL Lash Lift

The first day does most of the work. After that there is very little to think about.
  • Keep them dry. Avoid steam, swimming, hot water around the eyes and the gym while the lift settles.
  • Try to sleep on your back that first night, rather than pressing your lashes into the pillow.
  • Avoid strong sunlight or UV for the first day, which can lift the tint.
  • Life goes back to normal — shower, swim, sauna, whatever you like.
  • If they get wet, brush them through with a clean, dry mascara wand so they dry neatly.
  • Mascara is fine after 48 hours if you want it, although you may find you stop reaching for it.
  • Keep oil-based makeup and remover away from the eye area, as oil can shorten the life of the lift. Water-based products are best.
  • Skip lash curlers — you will not need one.
  • Try not to rub your eyes when cleansing.

A lift lasts up to eight weeks and grows out with your natural lashes. There is nothing to remove.
